China Whey Weekly: Traders slash prices amid lower import cost (week ended Mar 25, 2019)
Whey demand remained sluggish despite soaring hog prices. As the population of sow and piglet shrank, feed producers were prudent in whey purchases in view of slow demand recovery. With import costs of whey dropping significantly, traders readily cut prices in attempts to trim inventories.
