The Chinese vitamin supply chain: A pillar of resilience

In contrast to the pressures affecting energy, minerals, and bulk feed ingredients, the supply of feed vitamins from China to Southeast Asia has remained largely stable.

China accounts for 70–80% of global production of key vitamins (A, D3, E, and B-complex), supplying the majority of regional demand for poultry, swine, and aquaculture premixes.

Maritime routes from Chinese ports to Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Bangkok (Thailand), Jakarta (Indonesia), and Manila (the Philippines) do not transit the Strait of Hormuz, insulating this trade from primary blockades. While elevated global energy prices exert modest upward pressure on manufacturing costs, export volumes have continued to grow. Year-to-date data indicate steady or increasing shipments, supporting formulation consistency for regional integrators.

Livestock producers benefit from this continuity, which helps maintain nutritional standards even as other premix components face cost increases.
