Japanese firm to invest in Cambodia aquaculture industry

The Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA) said a Japanese company may possibly invest in Tilapia in Cambodia, reported Agence Kampuchea Press.

A JICA representative for Cambodia said the investment will be concentrated on Tilapia product processing specifically for export to Japan.

Veng Sakhon, Cambodia Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries said he welcomed the investment as it would lead to the creation of jobs and reduce overfishing in the country.
