Vietnam begins issuing bird flu vaccine nationwide

Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has started allocating 137.8 million doses of H5N1 vaccine against bird flu for 42 cities and provinces.

The allocation is part of the 2010 national vaccination campaign, under which Vietnam will use a total of 338.9 million doses of vaccine, said a government official.

The National Steering Board for Bird Flu Prevention and Fighting said that bird flu now remains in three Northern provinces of Tuyen Quang, Bac Ninh and Quang Ninh and Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre.
