China Niacin: Prices climb further (week ended Mar 20, 2023)

Prices of niacin strengthened further as supplies shrink due to lower production.

Export prices of niacin rose to US$4.40/kg.

Locally, transacted prices of niacin increased to the range of RMB30.30-35/kg.

Niacinamide prices in China were higher at RMB34/kg.

Niacin, a by-product of pesticide production, is expected to be tight in availability, hence lending support to the market.
