China VD3 ingredient shortage fuels price rally (week ended Mar 23, 2020)
As supplies of raw ingredient gelatin were scarce due to the Wuhan virus pandemic, vitamin D3 production shrank significantly. Producers and traders withheld stock releases in view of tightening availability, resulting in soaring prices.
