Bright Dairy to build industrial park in Shanghai

An investment proposal was passed at a board meeting of Shanghai-based dairy producer Bright Dairy & Food Co., Ltd. on March 19, the company announced.

The proposal will have an estimated investment of RMB1.46808 billion (US$215 million), with a construction period of 30 months and a dynamic investment payoff period of 6.19 years. It is scheduled to occupy a land area of 15.78 hectares and involve a construction area of 125,760 square metres.

After the completion, the industrial park will be composed of several parts such as an intensive production plant, a comprehensive power division, and a logistics centre, according to the proposal; and will reach a daily dairy capacity of 2,000 tonnes.

Bright Dairy & Food is a listed subsidiary under the aegis of Bright Food (Group) Co., Ltd., a food conglomerate in Shanghai.
