Egypt's GASC buys 120,000 tonnes of US and Australian wheat

Egypt's General Authority for Supply Commodities, or GASC, bought 120,000 tonnes of US and Australian wheat on a free on board basis in its tender Wednesday, participating traders said.

GASC bought 60,000 tonnes of U.S. soft white wheat from United Harvest at $143.84/tonne FOB and 60,000 tonnes of Australian soft wheat at $145.05/tonne from the Australian Wheat Board Ltd., traders said.

No other wheat was purchased at the tender. GASC officials weren't immediately available to confirm the purchase.
