China imported 2.95 million tonnes of soy in February, a decline of 9.5% from the same period last year, according to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs.
February imports slumped 27.7% from the 4.08 million tonnes in January. The February's imports fall is attributed to traders' little buying interest during the Lunar New Year in February.
In the January to February period, the country's soy imports reached 7.03 million tonnes, up 12% on-year.
