Egyptian firm signs up for Pas Reform hatchery expansion

Press Release

Egyptian Arab Poultry Breeders Co., or Ommat, will install Pas Reform's modular, single-stage incubators at its new broiler hatchery in Egypt.

Chairman Hussein Bahri and Bart Aangenendt, CEO of Pas Reform Hatchery Technologies, were both present to sign the new contract. Ommat has commissioned the installation of Pas Reform's Hatchery Automation and Climate Control systems, with SmartSet setters, SmartHatch hatchers and a SmartCenter hatchery information system.

Ommat targets high uniformity in its day old chicks, with good vitality and immunity. These demands, says Bahri, reflect the needs and growing demand of Ommat's customers.

The expansion will double Ommat's capacity to 60 million chicks each per annum, and the company is keen to use modern technology for production and administration to achieve that target, said Bahri.

Bahri stated that Pas Reform's Smart incubation system was selected to further improve day-old chick uniformity to optimise farm management and achieve the lowest possible feed conversion rates.

Ommat-Egypt has sister companies in Saudi Arabia and Sudan, with Arab Poultry Breeders Co. being the sole agent for Lohmann Selected Leghorn (LSL) in the Saudi Arabia, GCC and Yemen. The company specialises in the production, marketing and sales of hatching eggs and day-old broiler chicks. With a focus on delivering premium quality products, Ommat's exports have expanded to many Arab and African countries.

In addition, Pas Reform has created a series of new product brochures in Arabic, Chinese and Portuguese. Other languages already available include English, Spanish, and Russia. The brochures describe the key features and benefits of Smart incubators, hatchery automation and climate control systems.
