Ukraine to sell 300,000 tonnes of wheat to Libya

Ukrainian and Libyan officials have reached an agreement to export to Libya 300,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat, according to the press service of the Ukrainian agriculture ministry.

The agreement was reached during the recent visit to Libya of a Ukrainian delegation headed by the agricultural policy minister Alexander Baranovsky.

An agreement was also reached to consider long-term wheat supplies to Libya, with Ukraine granting the country a preferential status as a trading partner.

A Libyan delegation is expected in Kiev at the end of April to sign contracts with Ukrainian exporters for the wheat.
