Danish agriculture in Vietnam to promote better food safety in pork sector

The Danish Agriculture & Food Council recently visited Vietnam to strengthen cooperation and push for higher food safety standards in the pork sector.
During a two-day visit, the delegation met with key Vietnamese partners, including government agencies, industry associations, and leading livestock companies.
Denmark brings strong expertise in food safety, processing technology and efficient production. These are areas where Vietnam is looking to improve as domestic demand remains high.
The initiative also reflects a shared ambition. Both countries aim to develop a more sustainable food system, with higher productivity and lower emissions.
The Danish Embassy highlighted its role as a bridge between the two nations. At the same time, it underlined a broader goal – improving animal welfare and ensuring safer pork products for consumers.
