South Korea's NOFI buys corn, soymeal in tender from Cargill
South Korea's Nonghyup Feed Inc., or NOFI, has bought 110,000 tonnes of optional-origin corn and 55,000 tonnes of soymeal from Cargill in a tender concluded late Wednesday, a company official said Thursday.
The first shipment of 55,000 tonnes of corn will be supplied at a premium of 167 US cents/bushel to the Chicago Board of Trade May contract, and will reach South Korea on Jul 10.
The second shipment will be supplied at a premium of 156 cents/bushel to the CBOT July contract, and is scheduled to arrive in South Korea on Oct 20.
Cargill will also supply 55,000 tonnes of optional-origin soymeal at US$245.20/tonne for Sep 15 arrival in South Korea.
