Producers of methionine stood firm on prices to sustain profits amid higher production costs. However, as feed producers were wary of the weak livestock market, sales of methionine were limited, putting a lid on the prices. In Europe, prices of China-produced methionine remained in the range of EUR2.34-2.42/kg.
