Stable export demand perks up China vitamin C prices
As the hog market stayed sluggish, domestic demand for vitamin C remained limited even though sales improved while aquaculture production picked up in some regions. Nonetheless, strong export demand supported prices of vitamin C to stay firm over the past few weeks.
As of March 18, ex-factory price quotes for the export markets were at US$4.10-4.20/kg or higher.
The upward scope of vitamin C market is limited with the livestock population staying low.
