France's SKIOLD Group acquires FAO

SKIOLD France, subsidiary of the Danish group SKIOLD, announced last week that it has acquired equipment manufacturer FAO in Vitre, France.

SKIOLD France owns ACEMO, acquired in 1998. ACEMO designs and manufactures equipment for the storage and handling of grain, Mill & Mix plants, and feed distribution systems for pigs and cattle.

FAO constructs, commercialises and installs full turn-key projects for industrial and farm-scale grain storage and grain mixing.

It also supplies equipment for  fertilizers and waste management.

There will be no change to the structure of FAO, the actual managing director, Jean Louis Cariolot is to remain in charge.

Via this acquisition the SKIOLD group intends to further reinforce its position as a European leader in the field of grain processing and livestock feeding. FAO will in turn profit from the synergy of working with other companies within the group, and will be able to continue its development with notably access to new European and worldwide markets.

SKIOLD is specialised in grain processing, milling and mixing equipment, and feed distribution systems for pigs and cattle. The group has a dozen companies based throughout Europe, employs 750 people, and has a total annual turnover of EUR 100 million.
