PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia to lower feed prices in support of Indonesia's poultry sector

PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk reiterated its commitment to supporting the stability of the national poultry sector by lowering animal feed prices.
This measure was taken to help reduce production costs for farmers while maintaining stable prices for poultry products ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
Dr. drh. Agung Suganda, M.Si., Director General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health at the Ministry of Agriculture, said: "The downward trend in feed prices is a positive development for the national poultry sector. Adjusting feed prices at the industry level is expected to help reduce production costs for farmers, thereby making livestock businesses more efficient and maintaining stable prices for livestock products in the market."
In line with this, Arif Widjaja, chief operating officer of Japfa Poultry, emphasised the company's commitment to supporting the government's efforts to maintain the stability of the poultry industry.
"As part of our commitment to protecting consumers and national livestock farmers, we are making adjustments by lowering feed prices," Widjaja said. "We hope this step will help farmers improve business efficiency while ensuring a stable chicken supply, allowing the public to obtain poultry products at more stable prices, especially in the run-up to Eid al-Fitr."
Japfa also continues to coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture to periodically adjust prices to support livestock production efficiency, so that downstream livestock products can be enjoyed by the public at affordable prices.
"This effort is expected to provide farmers with the opportunity to maintain production costs, especially during periods when demand for chicken meat typically increases, such as during religious holidays," Widjaja added.
Through this step, Japfa hopes to contribute to maintaining a balance between the sustainability of livestock farmers' businesses, the stability of the poultry industry, and the affordability of poultry products for the public during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
