Ukraine plants spring grain crops throughout 454,000 hectares
Ukraine agrarians planted early grains and pulses throughout the areas of 454,000 hectares as of March 15, 2013, or 15% of the forecast.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported that the planted areas of barley totalled 369,800 hectares, wheat - 2,300 hectares, oats - 16,400 hectares, peas - 59,800 hectares.
To date, agrarians provide the planting campaign of spring grains in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Nikolayev, Odessa and Kherson oblasts and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
