Bright Dairy & Food Co Ltd, one of the dairy product makers in China, will make a push in the high-end infant milk powder market in the future.

The company will focus on imported products for a slice of the high-end infant milk powder market, said an executive for the Shanghai-based company, noting that the company is set to roll out high-end infant milk powder developed with the New Zealand Agriculture Research Institute in the second half of this year.

Bright Dairy will strive to enlarge its foothold in the medium-end infant milk powder market with its own brand, the executive said. The milk powder maker sets an aim to double its milk powder sales revenue this year.

Last year, the company acquired Synlait Milk Limited, a peer in New Zealand, paving the way for the Chinese dairy product maker to cut into the high-end infant milk powder market.
