New nucleus farm to improve Yurun pig production efficiency
 

The partnership of TOPIGS and Yurun Food Group will bring about the setting up of a nucleus farm in China, aimed at improving pig production efficiency and pig quality.

The new nucleus farm is to be located in Donghai county, Jiangsu province in the central part of eastern China, and it will be supplying Yurun with TOPIGS genetics.

In addition to the production of TOPIGS genetics, the farm will also serve as an education and training centre for managers and technicians who will be taking charge of Yurun's pig production chain and its farms.

Based in Nanjing, Yurun Food Group has more 60 subsidiaries in China and the company exports its products to Russia, Hong Kong, and the Southeast Asia.

TOPIGS is based in Vught, the Netherlands, and is a global pig breeding organisation with a market share of 85 percent in the Netherlands.
