South Korea corn imports show increase

Corn imports by South Korea, the world's third-largest corn buyer, rose by 25% to 1.13 million tonnes during the first two months of this year from a year earlier, customs data showed on Monday (Mar 15).

Corn imports for feed production, which account for more than 70% of the total, advanced 13% to 825,892 tonnes, the data showed.

Imports of food-grade corn increased to 308,311 tonnes, up 79%.
