Cherkizovo group to help nurture agricultural talent
Cherkizovo Group has joined a working group on agricultural talent development led by Maxim Uvaidov, Russia's Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
This month, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko held a meeting in Innopolis devoted to training of workforce in priority sectors. The event was attended by the heads of the Russian regions, Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov, rectors of almost 500 universities and experts and members of business communities.
The agenda was focused on reversing the shortage of IT skills and expertise and updating educational programmes to better suit the needs of the business. Twelve working groups were formed to address the gaps in priority sectors. The working group on agricultural talent development was led by Maxim Uvaidov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
Cherkizovo Group joined the group given its leading experience in digitalisation and procurement of highly qualified agricultural talent, the company said.
"Cherkizovo Group began looking for ways to attract IT specialists back in 2018, when it launched Europe's largest fully automated sausage plant in Kashira, Moscow Region. Since then, the company's hiring and training practices have become one of the best in the industry. We will be happy to share our expertise to help achieve the working group's goals", said Rustam Khafizov, head of Cherkizovo Group's Analysis Center.
