Zhengbang Group constructs hog farm worth US$480 million
A one million-head hog farm in Linwu County, Chezhou, Hunan, China is being constructed by the Zhengbang Group with an estimated cost of about US$480 million.
The commercial farm will include a modernised air filtration boar station, 10,000 acres of crops and breeding bases, the Zhengbang Group said in a news release on its website. The farm is a joint venture with Linwu County government.
The two parties signed an agreement to cooperate on the project in June 2012, according to the release, and the county's final inspection took place in mid-January.
