Jordan tenders to buy 50,000 tonnes feed barley
 

Jordan's Ministry of Trade and Industry Wednesday said it was tendering to buy 50,000 tonnes of feed barley, on a cost and freight basis.

"We are looking to buy 50,000 tonnes of barley for shipment during the second half of April," Muhannad Ghesh, senior importer at the ministry, told Dow Jones Newswires.

The deadline for bids is Mar 28, Ghesh said.

Jordan last bought barley Feb 1, when it purchased 50,000 tonnes from Socef and 50,000 tonnes from Toepfer at US$238/tonne to be shipped during the first half of March.
