Alltech strengthens its presence in Asia-Pacific region with 3 hew hires

Feed additive company Alltech has announced the expansion of its Asia-Pacific operations with the addition of three new members to the technical and quality assurance teams.

 

Dr. Alison Leary has recently been appointed to Key Account Manager, Technical Services.  While she will be based out of the Alltech Thailand office, her role will predominately cover South East Asia.  Dr. Leary will be responsible for new business development as well as providing technical, strategic and commercial support through Alltech's i-solution poultry programme to existing clients in the region.  She has over 9 years experience in the animal feed industry, both in her home country of Australia and for the past five years in Asia.

 

Having graduated from the University of New England in Australia with a Bachelor of Science in the area of poultry science, Dr Leary furthered her studies, obtaining a PhD where she completed her thesis titled 'Factors affecting egg and egg shell quality in various strains of the laying hen'. She also obtained her Masters in Business Administration in 2004.  Dr Leary's appointment further strengthens Alltech's technical support for the poultry and pig industries in Asia.

 

Ms. Tara Lee Jarman joins Alltech as the Asia-Pacific Regional Quality Assurance Manager. In this role she will be responsible for monitoring and investigating regional NCRs, auditing regional Alltech warehouses to AQS (Alltech Quality System) standards and assisting with AQS implementation in the region. Ms. Jarman holds an honors degree in Aquaculture from the University of Tasmania, Australia. Previously, she worked as a microbiological/quality control tester where her duties included, microbiological testing and product monitoring, quality control of all manufactured products, and control of contamination outbreaks.

 

Mr. Bao Yumin joins Alltech as a Post Doctoral Associate and will be based at Alltech's Asia-Pacific Bioscience Centre, Bangkok, Thailand. Mr. Bao will investigate the utilization of solid state fermentation enzymes to increase the digestibility of alternative feed ingredients. He will also be charged with the development of analytical systems for the identification of enzyme activities after addition to feed and contribute to the development of external research on Alltech's key products. Prior to joining Alltech, Mr. Bao worked with the Baotua Research Institute of Rare Earth, Mongolia P.R. China as an Agricultural Senior Engineer and Assistant Manager, where his responsibilities included, feed formulation, rare earth and other mineral supplementation, design production and customer service.
