*Commonly referred to in China as liquid methionine is methionine hydroxyl analogue, a liquid source of supplemental methionine.
Market analysis
The availability of methionine remained limited due to low production levels. Producers and traders who had limited stocks to offer lifted prices prominently. Feed millers stayed cautious as the outlook of the broiler sector was uncertain while the food and beverage business was severely affected.
In Europe, prices of methionine remained at EUR1.83/kg.
Market forecast
Methionine market is set to stay firm with supplies tight and delivery costs moving higher. Even as fee producers make purchases cautiously, prices are expected to rise further.
