Myanmar will not meet marine target export in 2013
Referring to official figures for the first 11 months of the previous fiscal year, Myanmar will not meet its marine-products export target of US$700 million for this fiscal year.
This is according to the country's fish and fisheries products federation.
The figures from the Fishery Department show that export of marine products totalled US$581.819 million from the beginning of the fiscal year last April to February 24 this year.
Exports of crab and eel have exceeded their targets, but exports of freshwater shrimp and other fish have fallen short of target, official figures show.
