Russians warned against German meat imports on dioxin threat
As much as 8,859 kg of German meat shipped to Russia's Novotroitsk and Orsk meat processing plants in the Orenburg Region were stucked until dioxin testing has been completed.
Tests will be made at laboratories authorised to conduct such examination.
Earlier, chief sanitary physician Gennady Onishchenko recommended Russians to abstain from using foodstuffs imported from Germany because dioxin contaminated feed had been used at German poultry and pig farms.
