Germany pork exports up 20 percent
 

German pork exports have increased to 1.2 million tonnes in 2007, up 20 percent, according provisional figures released by the German Statistics Office.

Meanwhile, exports to other EU states in 2007 have also increased above average rates.

In addition, Germany imported 5 percent more pork last year compared to 2006.
