African swine fever outbreak detected in Sichuan, China

China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said they have detected an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) in Sichuan province, southwest of the country, Reuters reported.

The disease was detected in a truck transporting 10 swine, with two dead.

The ministry said the illegal transportation was the likely cause of the ASF outbreak.
