Zambeef appoints new non-executive director

Zambeef, the fully integrated food producer with operations in Zambia, Nigeria and Ghana, announces the retirement of Adam Fleming as non-executive director of the Group.

Fleming will step down from the board of directors with immediate effect. He joined the board in February 2004.

The Group will appoint Graham John Clark as its new non-executive director, subjected to confirmation at the next Annual General Meeting.

Clark has over 30 years' experience at senior levels with major food and agriculture companies across sub-Saharan Africa, including directorships of listed companies, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

"I have greatly enjoyed my time on the Board of Zambeef. The business has grown tremendously in the period, including the expansion of its footprint across Sub-Saharan Africa and a successful listing on AIM," Fleming said. "I am delighted that somebody with Graham's considerable experience is joining the Board at this very exciting time in the Group's development. I will continue to remain a supportive shareholder of Zambeef."

"Adam's expertise, knowledge and business experience has been greatly appreciated over his 12 years on the Board," Dr Jacob Mwanza, chairman of Zambeef, commented. "We are very grateful for his significant contribution to Zambeef's growth and expansion in the period, and we wish him well for the future. I also take this opportunity to welcome Graham Clark to the Board of Zambeef. I believe that his extensive and highly relevant experience will be of significant value to Zambeef."
