Russia to realise feed grains on request of the regions

The Russian Federation will put up for sale all stock of barley and 5-grade wheat (feed grains) from the intervention fund to the regions without providing of exchange auctions, announced Elena Skrynnik, Minister of Agriculture, on March 9.

According to E.Skrynnik, the announced volume comes to a total of 2.3 million tonnes. The volume will be sold at the price, above the original purchasing price level.

The minister marked that Russian regions provided requests for a volume of over 2.3 million tonnes of grains, thus the fund will have to take into account such mechanisms as feed grains production amounts, meat and poultry production, the deficit volumes, caused by the summer droughts and etc.
