Taiwan Corp To Buy 35,000 MT US Corn, Soybeans
 
State-owned Taiwan Sugar Corp. is seeking offers by 0600 GMT Wednesday for 35,000 metric tons of U.S. corn and U.S. soybeans in a buy tender, a trader in Taipei said Tuesday.
 
Of the total volume, TSC is seeking 20,000 tons of U.S. No. 2 corn and 15,000 tons of U.S. No. 2 soybeans, said the trader who received the tender notice.
 
Shipment dates will be March 22 to April 5 from the U.S. Gulf, or April 6- 20 from the Pacific Northwest, he said.
 
Feb. 11, TSC bought 35,000 tons of U.S. corn and soybeans from Toepfer in a tender. TSC bought 20,000 tons of U.S. No. 2 corn at $197.61 a ton and U.S. No. 2 soybeans at $388.20/ton, both on a cost and freight basis to Kaohsiung. Shipment dates will be Feb. 23 to March 3 from the U.S. Gulf, or March 9 to March 23 from the Pacific Northwest.
