China Corn: Slow, steady rise to new highs (week ended Mar 5, 2021)
Low availability of corn continued to push up prices even as feed producers limited purchases as the outlook of the livestock market remained uncertain.
Corn prices averaged RMB3,022/tonne.
Demand for corn is expected to improve as buyers restock depleting inventories. Nonetheless, low inventories of poultries and hog will limit the rise in prices in the near term.
