Agthia-Trouw Nutrition Hifeed partnership signed at AgraME 2018

Agthia Group PJSC ('Agthia' or 'the Group'), one of the UAE's leading food and beverage companies, has entered into an innovation and technology partnership agreement with Trouw Nutrition Hifeed.

The partnership decision was signed at the opening day of AgraME, one of the Middle East's leading exhibitions for the agriculture, animal health and aquaculture industries.

Attending the ceremony were His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Dr.  Mr. Otto Seijler, Managing Director of Trouw Nutrition Hifeed; Dr. Ashraf Farah, Vice-President Trouw Nutrition Middle East; Eng. Tariq Ahmed Al Wahedi, CEO Agthia Group; Dr. Rabih Kamleh, Vice-President R&D Agthia Group; and Mr. Nizar Faisal Kayali, Category Director Feed.

The agreement is based on precision farming and feeding concepts branded under NutriOpt. It aims at developing a portfolio of products and services for optimised nutrition, enhanced animal performance and improved economic efficiency in poultry and ruminants for the Agrivita brand owned by Agthia Group.

Commenting on the partnership, H.E. Eng. This nutritional tool consists of proven components working together in optimising animal nutrition, performance and associated costs through precise real-time analysis, modelling and calculation.

This NutriOpt contract is the first step of many to come, like joint application research on milking camel feeds and antimicrobial resistance management in the poultry industry in the UAE and the Gulf area.
