Russia's public purchasing intervention accredited 240 firms to join with a declared harvest volume of 1.32 million tonnes of grains as of March 6, 2012, informed the press-service of OJSC United Grain Company.
The auction on March 6, which was attended by 13 companies, put up 10,800 tonnes of grains of the harvest-2011. During the exchange sessions the public intervention fund purchased 3,780 tonnes of grains at the sum of RUB16.8 million (US$0.57 million), including: 1,080 tonnes of 3-grade milling wheat (with the average price of RUB4,700/tonne [US$158.94]); and 2,700 tonnes of 4-grade milling wheat (with the average price of RUB4,343,000/t [US$146,867]).
Since the beginning of the public purchasing interventions of grains of the harvest-2011, the state intervention fund purchased 419,310 tonnes of grains.
