Russia's February beef imports increased to US$162.8 million, compared with US$153.4 million in the same period of last year and US$94.8 million in January this year, the federal customs service reported Tuesday (Mar 6).

Pork imports in February were worth US$138.5 million, compared with US$128.7 million in February 2011 and US$83.8 million in January this year.

Poultry imports in February were worth US$27.4 million, compared with US$17.3 million in February 2011 and US$10.9 million in January this year.

The federal customs service did not give volumes in tonnages, only the worth of the imported products in dollars.
