Ukranian poultry integrator ramps up production despite drop in profits
Pershe Travnia poultry farm has finished 2006 with net profits of UAH 4.798 million (US$950,000).
This was down from its 2005 profits of UAH 11.934 million (US$2.2 million).
This was despite net revenues rising 24 percent to UAH 51.023 million (US$10 million).
The company's egg production rose 37.4 percent in 2006, reaching nearly 200 million eggs while mixed fodder production also rose 37 percent to 56,700 tonnes.
Pershe Travnia adopts a closed-circle production, including production of grain crops (3,000 hectares), mixed fodder production, egg production and production of pedigree poultry.
