India imposes restrictions on corn exports

 

 

India has imposed restrictions on corn exports, which can now take place only through four government agencies, including the State Trading Corp (STC), the government said in a statement Tuesday (Mar 6).

 

The restrictions are effective immediately and valid for the next six months, it said.

 

The exports can take place through STC of India Corp, MMTC Ltd, PEC Ltd and National Agricultural Products Cooperative and Marketing Federation, the statement said.
