Ukraine's January grain exports up six folds
Ukraine's January 2012 grain exports rose 6.2 times or 1,874.23 tonnes compared to January 2011, to 2,237.53 tonnes for US$512.03 million, Ukrainian news learned this from a source in the Cabinet of Ministers.
Grain exports in January 2012 grew by 2.7% or by 5,822 tonnes compared to December 2011. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in December 2011, grain exports increased 1.5 times or 732,110 tonnes compared to December 2010, to 2,179.31 tonnes for US$517.75 million.
In 2011, compared with 2010 grain exports increased by 1.8% or 248,340 tonnes to 14,149,290 tonnes for US$3,582.18 million.
