Ukraine to see rising wheat exports during 2013/14
Ukraine is expected to increase wheat exports to between eight million tonnes and nine million tonnes in the 2013/14 season, as crop yields have recovered from the adverse weather conditions of 2012.
In the 2012/13 season, wheat exports amounted to about 6.3 million tonnes. "Expectations of a rich harvest in 2013 under favourable weather in spring allow us to forecast the recovery of wheat exports in the next season, of up to 8-9 million tonnes that can become the third-highest level in the history of Ukraine," UkrAgroConsult said in a report.
