Latest Update on Prices of Vitamins In China (March 5, 2004)

    • Vitamin A500 

Of late, prices of vitamin A500 rose marginally in China. Current quotations for imported vitamin A500 mostly range between RMB104-105/kg, while the general transacted prices hover around RMB103/kg, up by RMB2/kg compared to last week's prices.

 

At present, most Chinese feed millers' initiative to step up procurement is seen on the rise and thus the market outlook for vitamins in China is positive. 

    • Vitamin E

Recently, prices of vitamin E increased slightly in China. Existing quotations for recently imported vitamin E in China stand at RMB47/kg, while the general transacted prices average between RMB45-46/kg, up by RMB1-2/kg versus prices in the earlier period. Meanwhile, old stock of vitamin E in China is currently transacted at between RMB44-45/kg.

    • Vitamin D3

 Of late, prices of vitamin D3 remain stable in China. Current quotations for imported vitamin D3 range between RMB102/kg, while the general transacted prices average between RMB99-100/kg.

 

Given the fact that the supplementation of vitamin D3 in feed is relatively low, and thus the market demand for the product is correspondingly light.        

    • Vitamin B1

Currently, prices of vitamin B1 remain stable in China. Existing quotations for China's locally produced vitamin B1 range between RMB135-140/kg, while the general transacted prices hover around RMB135/kg. Overall market demand for vitamin B1 in China is tepid.

    • Vitamin B2

At present, prices of vitamin B2 remain stable in China. Current quotations for China's locally produced vitamin B2 (80%) range between EMB115-120/kg, while the general transacted prices stand at RMB113/kg.

    • Vitamin B6

Prices of vitamin B6 remain largely stable in China recently. Current quotations for China's locally produced vitamin B6 range between RMB130-135/kg, while the general transacted prices stand at RMB130/kg.

    • Vitamin B12

Recently, prices of vitamin B12 remain stable in China. Current quotations for China's locally produced vitamin B12 range between RMB200-210/kg, while the generally transacted prices hover around RMB200/kg.

    • Biotin

Prices of biotin remain generally stable in China. Exiting quotation for imported biotin in the Chinese market range between RMB150-160/kg, while the general transacted prices hover around RMB150/kg.
