New African swine fever case reported in Hubei, China
China's Agriculture Ministry said a new African swine fever (ASF) case was detected among wild boar in Hubei Province, China, reported Reuters.
Seven wild boar were discovered dead with the disease at the Shennongjia Forestry district, located northwest of Hubei, central China.
More than 40% of China's swine herd has been decimated by ASF since the disease was first discovered in China. However, there have been a few ASF cases discovered among wild boar.
