New Zealand can help Pakistan develop dairy sector
New Zealand could help Pakistan in developing the dairy sector and value-added milk and milk products, and the two countries could benefit from each other's capabilities.
Federal Minister for Food & Agriculture, Nazar Muhammad Gondal, had requested New Zealand's private sector specialising in milk processing and value addition for investment.
He urged the New Zealand government to facilitate the interaction of the private sectors of both countries so Pakistan could modernise its farming machinery.
Gondal said New Zealand could offer scholarships to Pakistani students specialising in agriculture so the country could modernise its agricultural industry. Technical and scientific assistance from New Zealand could greatly enhance practices in Pakistan.
New Zealand ambassador to Pakistan Brian Sanders has assured of his country's assistance.
