Pioneer to release 17 new corn products this year
Pioneer Hi-Bred is releasing 17 new corn products for the Mid-South this year.
The new lineup includes new double-stack products that feature Herculex insect protection and the Roundup Ready Corn 2 trait.
The Herculex I trait offers protection from European and southwestern corn borer, western bean cutworm, black cutworm, fall armyworm, corn earworm, sugarcane borer, southern cornstalk borer and lesser cornstalk borer.
The 2009 class has been tested locally in the Delta at research centres or off-site yield trials and production advancement trials conducted on grower fields in full length strips, according to Kirby Wuethrich, Pioneer technical services manager.
