FrieslandCampina strengthens executive board with additional positions
FrieslandCampina is implementing changes to its top management structure to accelerate its transformation and further increase the agility of the company.
The dairy cooperative's executive board, that is currently composed of the CEO and CFO, will be reinforced with the president of food and beverage and the chief people officer. In the renewed executive leadership team, all business units and strategic functions will come together, resulting in fewer management layers, better decision-making and accelerated implementation of FrieslandCampina's strategy.
Hein Schumacher, CEO of FrieslandCampina said: "By having the leaders of all business units and strategic functions at the table in the executive leadership team, decisions can be taken quickly and in a cohesive manner. Allocating more responsibilities to our executive leaders results in a flat, flexible organisation, which means that real speed can be made with the transformation of FrieslandCampina. We live in a dynamic world in which we constantly have to respond to changing circumstances and must seize opportunities in the marketplace to be successful. I look forward to doing that together with the renewed executive leadership team."
The supervisory board has approved the proposed changes to the top management structure and the relevant works council have been asked for advice. The new structure is expected to be introduced as of March 1, 2021.
Jaska de Bakker will step down as a member of the executive board as of March 1, 2021.
De Bakker will continue to hold the position of CFO until May 1.
