Europe's 2020 pork exports increase 18.8%

 

 
Europe saw a 18.8% increase in 2020 pork exports, compared to 2019, with a total of 5,428,747 tonnes exported - excluding the United Kingdom as a destination for European exports.

 

China, which now accounts for 61.1% of total European exports (+10% over 2019), increased its imports of European pork by 45.2% over the previous year, reaching 3,346,588 tonnes, followed by Japan (359,943 tonnes), Hong Kong (283,633 tonnes), South Korea (195,066 tonnes) and the Philippines (152,855 tonnes).
