Singapore accepts Germany's ASF regionalisation for pork
The Singapore Food Agency has recently worked with Germany on a regionalisation arrangement concerning pork and pork products and taking into account the impact of African swine fever (ASF).
Under the arrangement, import restrictions are scoped to areas listed in Parts I - IV of the latest updated Annex of the EU Commission Implementing Decision 2014/709/EU. Pork and pork products from Germany that were not derived from areas listed in Parts I - IV will now be accepted for import.
On September 11, 2020 Singapore imposed a temporary restriction on the import of German pork and pork products due to an ASF outbreak.
