Indonesia, Brunei sign MoU on agriculture development

 

 

The Indonesian government and Brunei Darussalam have decided to cooperate in agricultural development through signing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the Nurul Iman Palace in Brunei Darusssalam.

 

The Agriculture Minister, Suswano represented Indonesia at the time of signing of MoU, while Brunei Darussalam's Main Resources Minister and Sultan were present there. The process of signing Mou was done under the advisory of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.

 

The President of Indonesia stated that both the nations would make stronger and cooperate for the prosperity of the people of both the countries. Susilo added,"I noted that cooperation between the two nations covers a very wide area, particularly fields which would bring prosperity to the two countries."

 

Apart from agriculture, both the nations will also participate to cooperate in sectors like as fishery, forestry, welfare, investment, trade, culture, tourism and others.
