Total net revenue of Vietnam's Dabaco Group dropped 4% last year

Vietnamese feed producer Dabaco Group recorded total net revenue of ₫11,110 billion (US$444.4 million) in 2023, down 4% compared to 2022, Cong Thuong reported on February 15.

The company's profit after tax reached ₫25 billion (US$1 million), five times higher than in 2022. Not taking 2022 into account, the figure would be the lowest business result in 15 years for Dabaco, mainly due to the sharp decline in live pig prices.

Agriseco currently forecast that Dabaco Group's business results will recover this year due to better profit margin as live pig prices are gradually recovering and animal feed prices have dropped sharply.

Despite market challenges last year, Dabaco Group continues to expand its farm scale. It had implemented its Thanh Hoa livestock project for a capacity of 5,600 sows and 77,400 commercial pigs, and the third phase of its Phu Tho pig breeding project for a capacity of 4,800 sows and more than 70,000 commercial pigs). Both projects help increase Dabaco's total herd size by 25%.
